Paul Strauss was born in Halle in 1971 but spent most of his childhood in Magdeburg. Being the only child, Paul lived in an adult world where he spent much of his time drawing.

In 1990 he attended the Dresden School of Fine Arts. Over the next few years he took odd jobs to pay the rent but continued to paint. Financial pressures induced Paul to seek out commercial art work.

Living in Halle he developed an independend and cool drawing style, orientated by the classical french and american erotic cartoons.
